Human glycoprotein A33, also known as GPA33, is a transmembrane glycoprotein primarily expressed on the basolateral surfaces of the colon and small bowel epithelium in both humans and mice. It's a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily and is highly conserved between species, including humans, chimpanzees, dogs, mice, and rats. A33 is a cell surface differentiation antigen and is also expressed in greater than 95% of human colon cancers.
